What to expect during your appointment with EPPT?

The initial functional assessment helps us determine safety and efficiency of movement.  Based upon findings, we make recommendations for simple exercises and movement or technique modifications the client can do to reduce strain on vulnerable tissues, reduce energy expenditure through efficiency of movement, and improve performance.  Treatment is typically hands-on techniques to restore normal joint alignment and function while promoting normal muscle firing patterns.  We incorporate the latest technology when appropriate.  For the majority of those who will benefit from our services, we see them for a few visits initially (2-4 times) with a focus on empowering them to take care of themselves independently to maintain their health and physical performance.  Occasionally, more frequent or additional visits may be recommended. We generally advise our clients to follow up as needed to check on their progress, advance a home exercise or care program, or for a routine maintenance treatment.   Our goal is always to empower the individuals to help themselves so there isn’t a need for frequent treatment.   We provide a lot of education and assist with goal setting and a plan for training for activities including sport at an appropriate level.
